Fiscal and Operations Program Assistant  – Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc., is seeking applications for a Fiscal and Operations Program Assistant, who will assist both the Fiscal and Operations department with data entry, reception support, and other administrative supports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fiscal Duties:  Receipts — Verifies amount to deposit, stamps checks, scans checks for e-backup, prepare deposit slip and cash receipts forms and takes deposits to the bank.  Check Processing: (ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, PAYROLL AND PROVIDERS) – inserts checks into envelope along with appropriate paperwork, and seals for mailing; for AP collates check stubs with voucher and backup. Data Entry: prepares cash receipts; inputs data into accounting software package; enters data into Excel spreadsheets when necessary. Other: Maintenance of files, departmental supplies, handling departmental mail and taking meeting minutes. Operations Duties: Data Entry: inputs client intake forms into Central Database, assist with report preparation.  Reception Support: cover front desk reception as needed, assist with scheduling reception coverage.  Other: voucher invoices to fiscal office, order supplies and maintenance materials. General clerical duties including photocopying, filing, faxing and mailing. Other:  Attends training in-house as well as community workshops and activities, when appropriate, that would directly enhance the position and personal development. The strictest level of confidentiality must be maintained. All other duties as assigned. Part Time Receptionist – Steuben OFA: Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc., is seeking applications for a part-time Receptionist to work at the Steuben County Office for the Aging.  This is a 20 hour per week position.  Responsibilities: Welcome walk-in visitors and answer telephones.  Perform clerical duties including typing, data entry and preparing mail.  Represent OFA at community events and meetings; record and distribute meeting minutes.  Qualifications: A one-year certificate from a college or technical school or three to six months of related experience and/or training.  An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.  Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to greet visitors and callers in a friendly and professional manner.  Must have strong verbal and written communication abilities.  Basic computer skills including typing and data entry are required.  Must have a valid driver’s license meeting agency standards.  To Apply: Please send a letter of interest, resume and completed employment application to: Human Resources, Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc., 117 E. Hope Center Site Coordinator –
Pro Action’s Hope Center Keuka Food Pantry in Penn Yan is seeking applicants for the 20 hour per week position of Site Coordinator.  Responsibilities: The Hope Center Site Coordinator will utilize their skills and experience to manage day-to-day site operations.  Duties will include coordinating the central intake process, cultivating relationships within the faith community and the community at large, promoting services through media opportunities and the creation and distribution of a monthly newsletter, managing fiscal resources and seeking funding opportunities, overseeing tracking of data, generating and submitting accurate and timely reports.  Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree is preferred, along with experience with the provision of human services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully interact with a diverse population are required, along with computer skills that include proficiency in working with data tracking systems.  This position requires a valid New York State driver’s license meeting agency standards.  To Apply: Please submit your letter of interest, resume and completed employment application to: Human Resources, Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc., 117 E. Senior Community Services & Employment Program: Pro Action is seeking individuals for multiple positions in Allegany, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben Counties.  This is a paid work experience for people age 55+ at $9.70 per hour.
As an older worker, you will be placed in a paid, part-time community service assignment to gain experience.  You can serve your community while expanding your skills and earning an income.
Various positions are available including: Clerical Maintenance, Reception, Janitorial, Food Service, Customer Service, and more.
