Family Resource Centers

FRCs offer a welcoming atmosphere where parents and caregivers can bring their children to play, explore activities, and socialize with other children and families.

Our trained staff are there to support adults in their caregiving role. We offer many groups and workshops to suit a variety of typical parenting questions and concerns.

All of our programming is family-centered, meaning we build off of your strengths and interests in developing activities and learning opportunities.

Every day during open hours we offer the following things but always check out our events below to see what else we are offering!

Play with Purpose: Our centers are each set up to engage the imagination and encourage exploration. Parent/caregivers and their children can explore dramatic play, block play, cars and trucks, create beautiful works of art, read stories together or enjoy one of the many other areas at our Family Resource Centers. During our Drop-in Play hours we help provide the materials, a safe, friendly warm and welcoming environment where you can find support from our caring staff and other parent/caregivers

Gross & Fine Motor Activities: It’s time to get those large muscles moving! It takes lots of practice to perfect our coordination skills so we can learn to rollover, sit up, crawl, walk, run, climb and eventually ride a bike. You can always find gross motor opportunities at our centers varying for the developmental ability of your child. The precise movements it takes for a child to pick up a cheerio, write their name or learn to cut are developed through fine motor activities. We are conscious at our centers in making sure we provide lots of materials and opportunities for children to build these muscles and “fine” tune these skills.

Sensory Play: Children learn so much through their 5 senses: touch, sight, hearing, small and taste. Sensory play will focus on developing one or multiple senses.
