Summer Youth Employment
The Summer Youth Employment Program gives youth ages 14-20 an opportunity to gain valuable work experience at various worksites throughout Steuben County. Job assignments are typically 24-32 hours per week, paid at the current minimum wage of $15.50 per hour. Program eligibility includes receiving one or more of the following benefits: Family Assistance/Safety Net, Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), HEAP, or SSI. If you do not receive one of the above, your family’s income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
