Senior Community Service & Employment Program
Pro Action wants you to know that it’s never too late to learn new skills and find a fulfilling job! Our Senior Community Service Employment Program matches job seekers with a community service assignment based on employment interests and goals. Participants work 20 hours per week and earn minimum wage while gaining experience, increasing skills and building self-confidence. These training assignments can be used as a bridge to find job opportunities outside the program. In fact, the experience often leads to permanent employment. · This program serves four counties including Allegany, Chemung, Schuyler, and Steuben.
Senior Community Service Employment Program Services:

More Information:
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a job training program for older Americans operated under a U.S. Department of Labor grant. We thank CWI Works, Inc. for selecting our organization to operate SCSEP in our community. The Pro Action SCSEP program is funded by an almost $47 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. This funding provides 90% of the support for SCSEP with CWI and its subgrantees providing approximately $5 million in nonfederal match. The SCSEP Program is an equal opportunity program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
